Hi, I am Curt Vangsness and I am the Shop Foreman for Obsidian Manufacturing!
What is your favorite product to work on in the shop?
My favorite thing to work on in the shop is the electrical chuck controllers.
What is your favorite thing about working at Obsidian Manufacturing?
My favorite thing about working for Obsidian is getting to learn new things everyday!
What has been the most challenging part of learning the manufacturing industry?
I would have to say the most challenging part of learning the manufacturing industry is knowing all the working parts of many different things. We just rebuilt an Arter Grinder for a customer and learning the ins and outs of that particular model of machine was another example of always learning something new.
What is does a typical day at work look like for you?
A typical day of work for me is often helping the shop guys with any questions or any troubleshooting they may need while working on our jobs in the shop.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a priest.
What is your favorite food?
Baked chicken
